Whenever you do something you love, do you feel extraordinary or heroic to yourself? I do admit that I am not Superman. But when this Clark Kent walks into the box/gym/phone booth, something extraordinary.happens. I realize that I am doing something that not all people want or choose to do. I choose to push myself harder than I did the day before. I get a taste of being something made out of a comic book or movie. For a little more than an hour a day is my chance to be my own hero. This time is for me to save myself from life’s stresses, relationships, worries, etc. What is your phone booth? You are probably thinking “What in the hell is this guy talking about?”. I am asking what are the things that make you feel extraordinary? These extraordinary feelings do not have to happen all of the time. Your phone booth doesn’t have to be in the gym. It can be at work where you are doing what you love to do. It can be at home loving and taking care of your family. We all need to know that we are doing something that some people are not capable of doing. This is what makes us extraordinary. The reason I feel like I do when I walk into the gym is because I never had an athletic background growing up. I am in the best shape of my life at 43 years old. How many people can say that? I was into music and band when I was growing up. I would not change that for the world. It was my extraordinary thing at the time. It is kind of funny to look at how far we have all come from a certain point in our lives. These types of successes are what make all of extraordinary. Whenever you are having a bad day, just realize that you have stepped into that phone booth time after time and came out of it transformed for the better. We are all extraordinary in some kind of way! Here is a picture of me and how far I have come. I would love to see or hear about your transformations!
