How many of you are like me with excuses?  There seems to be multiple excuses for every day life.  Whether it is being skeptical of the unknown, or just using an excuse to avoid something you really just do not want to do.  These excuses can range from “I am not going to apply for that promotion, because there is no way I am going to get it.” or something as easy as “I am just too tired to fold the laundry.  I will just do it tomorrow.” Excuses are part of our everyday life.

I hear people talk about fitness daily at my job.  The one excuse I hear on a daily basis is “I can’t”.  I WAS a culprit of using the “I can’t” excuse all of the time.  What happens if we put fear to the side and just go for it?!?  I have witnessed multiple accomplishments when excuses and fear are put to the side and people just go for it.  I witnessed it this past weekend during our usual Saturday workouts.  There were multiple visitors participating in our Vibe Fit class.  Some of the participants had never visited our gym before.  They conquered their skepticism and fear and just went for it.  They did an amazing job, and made some of the more seasoned veterans step-up, because they saw how hard some of the new people were working.

Is FEAR  a four letter word.  Why does it have to be?  Sometimes FEAR brings out the best of us.  Fear challenges us to do things that we never thought we would be able to do.  Life would be pretty boring without fears and challenges.  What if everything was handed to us on a silver platter, and we did not have to work for anything?

Goal for the week.  Take on one thing that you fear or challenges you.  It can be as small or big as you want.  Let me know how it goes!  You can see me in person at Texan Fitness or you can email me jessesjournal@texanfit.com .   I hope to hear from you!
