Hello again, friends!
It has been a joy and pleasure to post my thoughts here with Texan Fitness, but it’s now time for me to pass on the proverbial baton! Writing the posts was much more interesting and challenging than I thought it would be. There were several posts started and immediately deleted. I had several ideas that I never even started. And then there were the entries that were read, reread and then reread and retyped because I couldn’t find the right direction or tone to share my feelings.
Writing blog posts about my relationship with Crossfit and Texan Fit was a little more of a challenge than I thought it would be. Writing about my feelings and sharing them in a rather sterile environment was more of a challenge. Being vulnerable was absolutely frightening. The easy part about Crossfit and Texan Fit has been going to the box everyday and seeing my Fit Fam. Over the course of the past couple months, the workouts were sometimes “real peaches” as a friend says. However, I never left wishing that I hadn’t gone to the box, that I hadn’t participated to the best of my ability, or that I hadn’t seen my friends and cheered on progress. That has been the most amazing part of being asked to write for Texan Fit! The only thing that changed was writing about it! 😉 I had been worried about falling off on attending classes or not having a goal or any meaningful thoughts to share with you, but that wasn’t a necessary place to put my energy. I truly feel so lucky that I have found such an amazing community of people.
Texan Fit has some young athletes and some more experienced athletes. We have single people and married couples. Some people have kids, some people don’t have kids and some people even have kids that work out with us! We laugh together, sometimes cry together, cheer for each other and raise each other up and for that, I’m thankful. I’m also thankful that I had the chance to share my thoughts and say these things because we don’t always get a megaphone to make sure everyone knows we are thankful!!
So! With that, Jesse and I officially pass this blog onto our friend, teammate and Fit Fam Member, Bradley! He is a wonderful, multi-layered guy who always has a smile on his face…even when you push him on Partner WOD Saturday! Enjoy getting to know more about Bradley and thank you again for spending time with me here. All the best to you! xoxo
